The Equal Opportunities Higher Education Network's January
Conference is to be held on 26th January, 1999, at CVCP,
Woburn House, 20 Tavistock Square, London, WC1H 9BQ.
AIMS:
To be informed of the findings of the 'Interim Impact Study of
Equality Guidelines' and to discuss the implications of these for
the progress of EO implementation in the sector
To examine specific examples of implementation of 'HE & Equality - A
Guide' in a range of HE institutions.
To generate, in our questions and discussion, some feedback to CUCO
on which aspects of the Guide were most effective and which could be
more effective in promoting EO in the sector.
Fee, including lunch, full refreshments, a copy of 'HE &
Equality - A Guide' and the 'Interim Impact Study of Equality
Guidelines':
95 pounds for members and 110 pounds for non members.
Members will receive a copy of the Conference Proceedings later in
the year.

Keynote Speaker - Janet Powney of the Scottish Council for Research
in Higher Education.
Angela Ruddock, Head of Personnel Services at the University of
Central Lancashire and Chair of CUCO's Race and Ethnicity
sub-committee.
Dorma Urwin, Principal of University College Worcester, member of
the HEFCE Board and of its EQUALL committee, and of CUCO.
Joe Charlesworth, CRE, Anne Madden, EOC, Fiona Waye, CVCP, Angela
Ruddock and Dorma Urwin will also form a panel to discuss issues
relating to implementation of the guidelines.
