THE HELP FOR HEALTH TRUST

The Help for Health Trust is a registered charity, which provides a wide

range of consumer health information services, including helplines,
databases and research. The Trust houses the NHS Executive funded Centre

for Health Information Quality and we are establishing a second wave NHS

Direct pilot providing 24 hour telephone access to nursing advice and
health information. We are now seeking two members of our Senior
Management team to help take the Trust into the Twenty First Century and

to meet the opportunities of the new NHS IM&T Strategy Information for
Health, which was launched on 24 September 1998.

CENTRE FOR HEALTH INFORMATION QUALITY MANAGER
Salary: in range 24 - 28,000
Information for Health makes a commitment to extending and strengthening

the role of the Centre for Health Information Quality over the next few
years. Reporting to the Help for Health Director, you will have
operational management responsibility for this national resource centre
as well as establishing further funding and development opportunities.
The Centre provides an information service on good practice in
production of high quality, evidence based information for patients. A
background in library/information management or public involvement in
health would be particularly relevant.

CORPORATE SERVICES MANAGER
Salary: in range 22 - 25,000 per annum
(Contract to 31st March 2000 or secondment opportunity)
Also reporting to the Director, you will be responsible for the
efficient operation of The Help for Health Trust as an independent
charity, including finance, IT, human resources and facilities
management.  The post holder manages provision of the Trusts database
products (Helpbox and NHS A-Z) and also has a particular role in
contract management and business planning. A background in business
management in the NHS or voluntary sector would be particularly
relevant.
