Hi!
I am working on a problem where I want S-plus and BUGS to communicate:
1a) First I have to do some calculations in S-plus,
2a) then the output from S-plus is written to a file
3a) this file is used for input to BUGS
4a) BUGS calculates posterior distributions and updates
some parameters
1b) These parameters are entered into S-plus, calculations are done
2b) then the output ...
.
.
.
Since I have to repeat these steps many times I would like to AUTOMATE
this process ie 'run 1-4 n times' or 'stop when some criteria is
fulfilled'.
MY QUESTION IS: Do anybody have some suggestions on how to do this?? You
cannot call BUGS from within S-plus, right?
Is the solution to write a C or a Fortran program to do this or ... do
anybody have other suggestions??
/marianne
