I'd just like to say a few words to reassure the several people who have
newly subscribed to british Poets in the last month or so (David K, Jordan
D, Michael G etc) one of whom has already spoken of de-subscribing out of
boredom, that the level of discussion and interaction here can sometimes be
very intelligent, and lively and informed. There are a number of poeple,
mostly on holiday at present, who don't view the list as on opportunity to
say every half-baked thought they ever have onto a screen. But I also think
that those who are currently corresponding are capable, when they pull
their socks up, of treating poetry as something other than an idle pastime.
meanwhile--
I don 't like X
