Question to Jordan Davis, or whoever can answer this question
for me. I'd very much like to see Ashbery's "To A Waterfowl."
I've tried finding a copy at the library but have had no luck.
Is there a net site where I might view this poem? Would it be a
violation of list rules if someone posted it? I'm very
interested in cento, but have had little luck finding much on
it. I have a few examples but I'd really like this one by
Ashbery. (I've written a cento based on Roethke's "My Papa's
Waltz" but want to know how far cento goes by seeing more
examples of it and hearing any definitions from poetry
dictionaries.)
Centos, of course, would be excellent examples of a type of
collaborative poetry. (Forgive me if I've missed a previous net
site or something for Locus Solus...I've not been on the list
long, but if it's available I'd like to know it. Or information
on ordering a hard copy of it.) Well this turned out to be
several questions: can you help me with seeing Ashbery's poem;
can you tell me the "rules" for cento; and can you tell me where
I might find Locus Solus. (If you'd prefer to reply privately
that's fine too.)
Thank you.
