The Prose Hog
The prose hog is quick-footed, intelligent.
Well adapted for the production of poetry
because it writes rapidly,
seldom pauses to allow the ink to dry,
prose hog poems have a short gestation period
of about twenty minutes.
The prose hog feeds on the long sentence,
disdains rhyme and measure,
a handsome pig with a curly tail,
who much has been written about ----
the genius of the prose hog
being that it make poetry of prose,
a truly remarkable achievement.
The prose hog produces a large numbers of poems
within a short interval. Prolific the hogs scavenge
a wide range of strange styles & metaphors.
Words not usually associated with poetry,
the hog prose finds particularly pertinent
to prose poetry the unpoetical.
The prose hog heavy, quite literary,
rounded body; long, flexible snout;
short legs with cloven hooves; and a short tail.
Thick skin partly covered with coarse bristles
and walks with a distinct waddle.
