Peter has set a challenge, I think:
>Would Billie Pigg have been "musical" to Haydn?---YES.
They're stiff odds, but I'll bet we can come up with a pairing that
couldn't possibly seem plausible. How about, Onanie Bomb (of Boredoms) to
William Byrd? Would Maggie o'Sullivan have seemed poetic to Johnson?
Malevich artistic to Van Eyck? How about: would Onanie Bomb have seemed
musical to Gray? That I find IMPOSSIBLE, but who knows, a little snuff
and port.. Haven't we made ANY gifts to the horizon of art? When Onanie
records himself belching for ten minutes with no other noise to interrupt
his rendition, aren't we witnessing something in a way fundamentally
different from how it could possibly have been witnessed even 150 years
ago? Would Baudrillard have seemed philosophical to Heraclitus? Does he
to anyone? None of us are poetic even to Douglas, how'd we have been
thought of by Campion? Must run, Simpsons are on, k
