We started using the Syllabus Plus exam timetabler this year. We had to
abandon using it for the final version because we ran out of time getting
it working the way we wanted. This problem was largely down to the linkage
with our own student record system which already did much of the work. The
timetabler was simply used to generate the timetable, individual timetables
and place cards, etc. are already done by the SRS and therefore we didn't
want to use Syllabus Plus for that. We had problems using the rooms the
way we wanted and with papers shared between exams. We were near to
solving some of these when we ran out of time. I don't look after exams
here but was involved in the monitoring of the problems. We will be
revamping our arrangements and having another go at it this year.
