Here at Derby we provide each student with a receipted copy of their enrolment/registration form at enrolment. The form is invalid without the receipt and is later used for collecting grant cheques and ID cards, as well as applying for student loans etc. The latter part of the form details the feeing arrangements and this year, for the first time, has been revised to confirm the split between LEA and student for first years.
The students copy also has printed information on the back which includes a statement on participation and re-emphasises abiding by "the rules and regulations" as laid down in the rights, responsibilities and regulations booklet, (the 3R's as it is affectionately known) of which they also get a copy at enrolment. This booklet also contains the complaints and academic appeals procedures among other things.
I could go on but I think this answers your point.
