Roger,
Fee Assessments
Yes, absolutely! We have asked all students to bring their award letters
with them to registration. Sending them in advance will probably cause
confusion.
Electronic Transfer
SAAS has already agreed a file format with Scottish Institutions (because
all our lists are inevitably very long) and has promised to start sending
it from mid August 98 (with fortnightly updates).
The Specification is similar to the one you have posted with the addition
of the following:
student contribution (i.e. both parties' liabilities will be shown)
an adjustment flag (to show whether the amount shown has changed since the
last report)
a +/- sign to show whether the amount is debit or credit
a session field (to show which session the amount relates to - i.e. 1998/99
or an adjustment from a previous year)
Obviously, we haven't seen it yet so do not have its precise format but
that is what we agreed to in the Spring.
I hope that is helfpul
regards
Alastair
