I've been silent for awhile, as my office computer and Netscape have grown
incompatible, but I've rejoined the group from home on this remarkable
233Mhz that I will be paying for until it, too, becomes obsolete.
My question is, where can I find (in translation) Hildegard's writings on
medicine? I just purchased Sabina Flanagan's translation Secrets of God,
which contains excerpts and Heinrich Schipperges Hildegard of Bingen:
Healing and the Nature of the Cosmos, but both give only a brief account.
(Or, at least, briefer than I had hoped for.) I spent a good three hours
searching through Alta Vista, and ORB and the Labyrinth, but was unable to
find anything.
The Centre for Medieval and Renaissance Study is having a dinner/discussion
on Medieval medicine on the 29th at C.S.U. Long Beach, so I need to find
something quickly and easily. I know this is only tangentially religious,
but I hope someone can provide me with some leads.
Thanks in advance,
Ron Ganze
