My question is, at what time Pacific Daylight Time can I breath a sigh of
relief and go back to my hedonistic ways? Does the 23rd have to have passed
in all time zones? Or is the apocalypse pre-recorded for each time zone?
I was teaching cause & effect in class today, and told students that cause
always proceeded effect, but that it was altogether possible that the world
would come to an end today, and that in that case, all bets were off. One
student honestly panicked (sp?). The rest were amused.
I do have a serious inquiry, however. I am reading a book on Hildegard
(thanks again, all) which states, "She pointed to the existence of spices
hidden on the ocean floor that possessed great healing power and yet were
unaccessable to man." From where does this belief stem?
