'Fish remains and humankind' is the general title for papers from the
Fourth meeting of the International Council for Archaeozoology (ICAZ)
fish remains working group. *Internet Archaeology* has just placed four
papers from this conference in Issue 3:
http://intarch.ac.uk/journal/issue3/jones_index.html
The authors and title of the papers are:
D.C. Brinkhuizen: Some remarks on seasonal dating of fish remains by means
of growth analysis
Mona L Colburn: Cranial osteology of the redear sunfish; examples from the
American Midwest
Richard C. Hoffmann: Pike (*Esox lucius*) in Late Medieval culture:
from illiterate empericism to the literate traditions
David J. Ward: A simple machine for bulk processing sediments

Although the papers were edited by Andrew Jones and Rebecca Nicholson,
*Internet Archaeology* staff were heavily involved in bringing these
papers to publication. In particular, Ehren Milner, an MA student at the
University of York, scanned and edited the illustrations, as well as marked
up the papers for the Web. I would like to thank him for all his hard work
