These terms--'piety', 'devotion', 'spirituality'--are sometimes used as if
they were synonymous, although I certainly don't think they are.
How would any of the astute theologians on the list, masters of precise
distinction, disentangle their respective meanings? Better yet, how did the
medieval theologians understand these terms?
(Before I go off to consult medieval dictionaries like Balbus's.)
