It may be of interest to users how we intend using the DC.placeName on
our site
1. We hope to use a picklist of defined region names (Australia,
Cape York Peninsula, etc.) which people can use and this will
then automatically add in the DC.coverage.x.min, etc. into
the metadata. Most people will not have a clue as to geographic
boundary coordinates. This is what we do now for our ordinary
metadata (for the database data etc.)
2. People can add in free text place names which will be treated as
just that.
Hope this will help the discussion.
