Hi all,
my name is Giancarlo Lombardi, I am an Assistant Porfessor of Italian at
Smith College in Massachusetts. I teach language, literature, cinema, and
television. Next Spring I will be teaching a new course on Italian lit,
film and tv post 1968. I hold a PhD from Cornell University, where I wrote
a dissertation on contemporary feminist fictional diaries in Italy,
France, England, and Canada and I am currently working on turning it into
a book. These days, I have also been working on another project regarding
the representation of political terrorism in Italian film and fiction. I
published articles on Margaret Atwood and Alba de Cespedes, and I'm
currently writing an article on Gianni Amelio's LAMERICA, as well as
another article on Maraini's VOCI and Giacobino's CASALINGHE ALL'INFERNO.
Well, I guess this is a pretty complete picture of my research and
teaching interest, hope it was of any interest!
Best,
Giancarlo Lombardi
