Dear Critical Geographers,
Some of you might be interested in getting involved in the work
of the NEXUS theme group on globalisation. Particularly given the
dominance of economists in the group, you'd be very welcome!
For the past 6 months or so I've been co-coordinating a theme group
on Globalisation as part of the new centre-left network called NEXUS. We
began as a 'real' group with real meetings but having made some progress
in that format and encountered some problems, we've now gone virtual.
The WWW address is:
http://www.netnexus.org
The site is in the process of construction but already it includes
useful information about NEXUS and the theme groups, a database of
NEXUS members, and copies of papers produced by some of the theme
groups. The next thing to happen will be the establishment of an
on-line discussion list so that participants can develop ideas,
projects, papers and whatever else they're interested in.
The WWW site itself is pretty straightforward and self-explanatory,
so watch that space for further developments, and use the site to sign up
to lists etc.
Feel free to post this information to any relevant discussion lists
or colleagues who might be interested.
Best wishes,
Alan
