The thing to watch is how the process is supported. With a student
referred to us, doing Occ. Therapy, it was almost impossible to find
out who made the decisions. The student was in the third year by the
time she found us and I was very unhappy with the guidance she had
previously been given. It seems that there are so few the process is
not as regular or organised as it is through the LEAs. This may mean
you can get almost anything you ask for, but it can also mean that
without proper help, the student gets much less than they need.
