I agree with Peter... it is not necessarily a terrible thing if every
undergraduate isn't building metadata into their home pages. None
the less, I'd still like to see:
metadata ala carte:
no links/schemes/flags/types... just simple elements. This is the
stuff we'd expect from Tom Baker's User Tests.
metadata with sauce:
elements and a bit more... maybe a departmental web-site or intranet
flavor about it?
seven-course metadata:
the necessary accoutrements to link DC data to serious information
infrastructure. Publishers/Libraries/government orgs
