Thank you very much, Grover, for posting your message to the list,
especially given the difficulties you encountered.
It is often in late summer that universities change their servers around,
with the result that although your personal e-mail address will be the
same, the path that your mail takes differs. When you join a list such as
medieval-religion, the list software records not simply your e-mail
address, but also the path that mail sent by you to the list must take;
therefore, if you try to send some mail after your servers have been
changed, the list software will not recognize you as a member. So, it is
then necessary to join the list again at your 'new address', and leave the
list from the old one; and since the latter is often difficult, it will
then become necessary for you to drop me a line to tell me of the
predicament, and then I can unsubscribe your old address.
Back to Hugh: When I was at the Institut de recherche et d'histoire des
textes a few weeks ago, I met with Dominique Poirel, who is doing a
critical edition of Hugh's commentary on the Pseudo-Dionysius. He told me
that there is a centre, based in Germany, devoted to producing critical
editions of Hugh's works. I cannot recall the name or location of this
centre; can anybody provide us with this information?
Thanks again, George Ferzoco
