Yes. I remember being regaled by Donncha O Carrain (sorry, I'm not too good at spelling Irish
names) about an incident from the life of the good saint. Apparently he was elected as Bishop of
Cork and sent off to Rome for ordination by the Pope. But the Pope said,
"In no way are We worthy to ordain you. But it has been revealed to Us that you must return to
Cork, and there God has prepared worthier ministers for your ordination."
So home he came, and passed on the message to the assembled brethren in the church, on the site
of what is now St Fin Barre's C of I Cathedral. Even as he spoke, he was lifted up in the sight of the
onlookers into the rafters by the holy Angels, who there ordained him Bishop.
