Yup... _I_ certainly thought we'd more or less got things sussed...
(I wouldn't have wasted my time on the metadata creation tool
otherwise!)
This new 'improved' Dublin Core certainly appeared to come out of
nowhere...

Hmm... as it's likely to take some time to resolve the differences
between the existing DC and this new scheme proposed in the "User
Guide", this might be a useful step.
If we are to get anywhere with encouraging adoption of Dublin Core,
we surely need to get them out there USING it, and tools like mine,
Jon's and Andy's are a big step towards this.
I'm doing the final tweakings to my metadata creator at the moment,
and would really like to publicise it more widely than this list...
(lis-elib springs to mind as a good first point of contact with the
wider community...)
Is Andy's suggestion of assigning the current flavour of DC a 0.1
version number inside the package information acceptable to everyone,
so that we can move forward...?
In short, can I change my
<META NAME=package" CONTENT="(TYPE=begin) Dublin Core">
to
<META... "(TYPE=begin) Dublin Core 0.1">
and start telling the big wide world about it...?
