VINCENT OF BEAUVAIS, encyclopedist, moralist, educator, Dominican,
historian, etc., etc., is one of the thirteenth-century giants, whose work
intersects the studies of medievalists at a surprising number of points,
often when we least expect it. At last a web site has been dedicated solely
to him by a fine scholar at the University of Utrecht who did his thesis on
Vincent of Beauvais, HANS VOORBIJ. Although the site is still 'under
construction' or as its master-builder says, "in statu nascendi", the
bibliography is nearly in place, listing older and very recent studies,
editions, translations, a newsletter--truly a mine of Vincentia. For
everyone interested in medieval religion, intellectuals, learning, etc.,
etc. See:
