Although expert in none of these areas, I'd like to offer a little advice. The
_Veni Sancte Spiritus_ was one of many sequences used in the Medieval Roman
Rite. As a testimony to its enduring beauty and power, it is one of the few
sequences still used in the current Mass of the Roman Rite (for Pentecost). In
addition to well-known settings by composers such as Bach and Mozart, the
French ecumenical community at Taize has set the prayer to music. Like other
Taize chants, it has become quite popular for contemporary liturgical use.
Finally, as long as you give examples, don't fear to use proper grammatical
terms - write "prepositions" rather than "helper words."
