The Institute of Cistercian Studies at Kalamazoo, imitating the
Medieval-Religion network which has been very enjoyable and highly
informative over the past year, has established an on-line discussion
network for those working in Cisterciana.
This on-line discussion list invites scholars and persons with a serious
interest in Cistercian history, theology, spirituality, hagiography,
liturgy, literature, archaeology, art history, and customs -- and those
in closely related fields which we like to call pre-Cistercian and
laterally-Cistercian -- to subscribe. By means of this sincerest form of
flattery, we hope
to encourage exchange among scholars and monastics
to faciliate information sharing
to circulate incofmration and reviews of new publications
to keep up on works in progress
to get acquainted
To subscribe, address a message to

The message should then read

(first and last names being, of course, yours).
I look forward to meeting some of you. Please pass the word amongst your
non medieval-religion network colleagues and friends.
