We have a totally blind student in First Year Information Studies
here in Dublin. She is coping reasonably well with sociological
issues, but is floundering (understandably) in technical and
visual presentation courses.
Has any-one experience of a blind student of Information Studies, or
of related areas such as Commmunications or Computer Science?
If so:
- Have you any advice on teaching visual areas;
- Have you any teaching aids on tape or Braille which would be useful.
Our library has been trying to track down text-books in Braille
without much success so any advice on this would also be useful.
Thanks
Mary Burke
