Data Scientist, Institute for Apprenticeships and Technical Education, London / Coventry, UK
Apply before 11:55 pm on Sunday 31st May 2020
The Institute is recruiting up to three G7 data scientists over the Data Innovation and the Policy Analysis teams. There is scope to work across both teams and to shape the roles to the strengths and development needs of individuals.
Applicants must be enthusiastic about using code to solve analytical problems. Python is the dominant programming language within the Institute, and successful applicants will be expected to use python for their work unless there are specific technical reasons for not doing so. However, prior experience with python is not essential as we place a strong emphasis on learning and development. Applicants who do not have experience working with python will need to demonstrate proficiency with another programming language suitable for data science type work.
You will need to have strong analytical skills and the ability to develop innovative approaches to address complex problems. You will also need to present your analysis directly to non-technical colleagues and so effective verbal and written communication skills are important.
