Hi,
I am working on a podcast series related to borders for the Amsterdam-based progressive research institute, Transnational Institute: https://www.tni.org/en/state-of-power-podcast. The first two of our episodes explored the systemic reasons behind the rise of walls and the corporations involved in promoting and profiting from them, which picks up on some of our own research work: https://www.tni.org/en/topic/border-wars
For our last in the series, we want to look at alternatives to border militarisation and anti-migrant hostility - from the compassionate responses of citizens, to refugees self-organizing to defend their rights and advocate for change, to those looking at how to reframe the debate, to those enacting alternatives whether at city or state level. This is not an area we have worked on closely yet - although we intend to do so - so I am reaching out to this list to see if you might be able to suggest interesting people or groups who we might want to interview for this final podcast and for future collaborative work. Maybe you are one of them??
Thanks in advance for any and all ideas!!
Nick
