Dear colleague and friend,
It is our pleasure to include a complimentary copy of EXPRESSION 27.
This is the second issue of the quarterly journal to include articles
on “The role of women in prehistoric and tribal societies”. The
collection of these contributions from colleagues of five continents,
is presenting a most interesting scenery on different human societies.
The pertinent papers are planned to form a thematic volume and
additional contributions may still be considered.
As announced in the ‘Discussion Forum’ of this issue, colleagues and
friends are invited to contribute to the new topics planned for
upcoming issues: “On the diffusion of culture” and “Defining the
identity of Homo sapiens”. Both are stimulating and provocative
topics. They are facing problems of identity and human relations
present today as yesterday in most societies and countries.
Also, you will find the announcement on “The Intellectual and
Spiritual Expressions of Non-literate Peoples”, the session planned by
the CISENP International Commission at the world prehistoric congress
of UISPP in Morocco (1- 6 September 2020).
Potential participants are invited to register to CISENP SESSION 2020,
by email: <[log in to unmask]> indicating, if pertinent, the title
of proposed interventions. The session will include papers, debates
and encounters on sources and expressions of culture: arts, beliefs,
rituals, myths, traditions and customs, memories and what else
inspires the human imagination and creativity.
The diffusion of the Coronavirus epidemic awakens concerns about the
possibility that the congress may be delayed or canceled. Hopefully,
by September the epidemic should be over. In any case, papers
submitted on schedule and accepted for the session will be published,
even if the congress is canceled or the author is unable to attend.
Additional information is available in the enclosed issue.
The pages of EXPRESSION are open to new viewpoints and welcome useful,
innovative and sound papers, for sharing knowledge, opinions and
concepts. You are welcome to contact [log in to unmask], for
queries, proposals and comments.
Let us hear from you.
Best wishes and cordial regards,
Emmanuel Anati
