Hello Zooarchers,
I am currently writing my bachelor thesis on a faunal assemblage from a chalcolithic site in Spain. During my research I stumbled upon a specimen that left both me and my supervisor very confused. She referred me to this mailing list for help.
The specimen in question is a domestic pig mandible with incredibly worn out first molars, but unerupted third molars. Furthermore, its molars are curved inwards and do not allign with the rest of the teeth. The maxilla has similarly worn first molars.
I have uploaded a picture of the mandible alongside a 'normal' individual to google drive: https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Ysca4NxmEBz31oI7pTQES5hVN8xv55iA I hope the link works and the picture is clear enough.
Thank you for the help
All the best
Daniel John Redding
