Dear All
I have just downloaded DecibelX to my mobile phone (in the absence of access to a proper sound level meter) but the free version uses a Z frequency rating, not A.
Do any of you use a mobile app for assessing background noise and if so what? If on the other hand you wouldn't touch them with a barge-pole, can you please recommend a reasonably priced sound level meter?
I want to use it for quick snap shots of workplace noise exposures in anticipation of starting health surveillance. I know this is normally a H&S function.
Many thanks
Jo
