We are pleased to announce that registration for the QHRN training programme for March 2020 is now open. The training programme will run from 2-4 March 2020 and will take place at Woburn House, 20-24 Tavistock Square, Bloomsbury, London WC1H 9HQ
We will be delivering the following courses:
Introduction to rapid qualitative research (RREAL) - 2nd March 2020, 10:00-16:00
An introduction to the range of approaches used in rapid qualitative research and literature reviews, including: rapid appraisals, rapid assessment procedures, rapid qualitative inquiry, the RARE model, rapid ethnographies (quick, focused and short-term). Course participants will work with real research cases and design their own rapid study. Participants planning a rapid study are encouraged to use their own topic throughout the course. Short clinics are available to discuss individual projects in detail. Delivered by Dr Cecilia Vindrola.
Introduction to rapid evaluations (RREAL) - 3rd March 2020 10:00-16:00
An introduction to a wide range of approaches used in the design and implementation of rapid evaluations combining short presentations with hands-on exercises and the opportunity to work with real evaluation cases and design their own rapid evaluation. Participants who are planning a rapid study will be encouraged to use their own topic throughout the course. Short rapid research clinics will be available at the end of the course to discuss projects in detail (these will need to be pre-booked by participants). Delivered by Dr Cecilia Vindrola.
Introduction to ethnography – 4th March 2020 10:00-16:00
A comprehensive introduction to ethnographic research, focusing on current understandings, ethics and access in healthcare settings, research design, observational and interview-based methods of data collection, data management, analysis, and the written account. Delivered by: Dr Henry Llewellyn, Dr Georgia Black and Sébastien Libert.
