Renowned film director Ulrike Ottinger will be in London for two screenings on Sat 25 and Sun 26 January.

Ulrike Ottinger’s ironic and operatic reflection on power, the manipulation of the media and identity starring Delphine Seyrig as the scheming Dr Mabuse and star model Veruschka von Lerndorf as the eponymous dandy and Dr Mabuse’s enigmatic victim.
Following the screening Ulrike Ottinger will be in conversation with Angela McRobbie, Professor of Communications, Goldsmiths, University of London.

In Delphine Seyrig’s last film, set on the Trans-Siberian railway, seven Western women are kidnapped by a mysterious Mongolian princess and her companions and are forced to join their caravan on a journey through inner Mongolia into the unknown.
The screening will be followed by a discussion between filmmaker Ulrike Ottinger and Erica Carter, Professor of German and Film, King’s College London.
