Understanding animal welfare issues remains as relevant today as it did in 1824 when the RSPCA’s founders first met. As we approach our 200-year anniversary, our current archiving project, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund, provides an opportunity to record our story for future generations.
We are now recruiting additional volunteers to join our archives team at RSPCA Headquarters in Southwater, Horsham West Sussex, to support the project with tasks such as cataloguing, digitisation, research and interpretation. It is a great opportunity for volunteers to gain archiving experience and skills, and to make a difference to the oldest animal charity around.
