The Barbara Harrell-Bond Foundation is looking for a part-time, home-based co-ordinator to work on a volunteer basis.
It is anticipated that the role will take up around a half day per week initially, but as the Foundation grows, more time could be needed and the position could become part-time paid, depending on grant funding.
The co-ordinator will monitor email, co ordinate Board meetings, monitor action points of meetings, maintain a mailing list within GDPR parameters, monitor incoming donations, gather and screen applicants for funds, and liaise with Board members on the above. These tasks are not onerous initially because we are a new Foundation, but as we grow we will discuss tasks/hours.
The Barbara Harrell-Bond Foundation has a simple purpose -- to unite the many people that Barbara helped throughout her life on a volunteer basis to be able to assist refugees and asylum seekers with micro-grants. Barbara accomplished many things in her career - she founded academic institutions, NGOs, and resources for lawyers and advocates. But one of the greatest things Barbara did was open her own wallet and offer up any money she had to help someone apply for status, buy medicine, send their child to school, or get to a court hearing.
The co-ordinator should have interests in supporting the goals of the Foundation, have had some experience in this time of co-ordinating role, and be enthusiastic in helping to build the Foundation.
Please apply via email or through the volunteer ‘button’ on the Foundation’s website.
