Dear colleagues,
We are glad to announce the publication of the issue N13 of Comparative Cinema: https://raco.cat/index.php/Comparativecinema
This is issue is edited by Fran Benavente, Santiago Fillol and Glòria Salvadó Corretger and is focused on the representation of corpses in film. It includes articles about the cases of Argentina (Eva Perón, the "desaparecidos", among others), Spain (from popular comedies to Francisco Franco) and Italy (the specific cases of Aldo Moro and Pier Paolo Pasolini), as well as an interview with late Colombian director Luis Ospina and fellow filmmaker Camilo Restrepo. The dossier is completed with a comparison between "Sunset Blvd." and "Twin Peaks". The texts are published in English but most of them have their original versions in Spanish as well. You can see the full summary below.
Comparative Cinema is a peer-reviewed journal published twice a year by Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). Call for Papers for Issue 15 is open until the end of January.
Best wishes,
Albert Elduque
