FIXED-TERM LECTURER IN MEDIEVAL AND RENAISSANCE ART HISTORY

The School of Art, Media, and American Studies is recruiting a full-time, fixed-term Lecturer in History of Art (Academic Teaching and Scholarship). This appointment is to cover the provision on Medieval and Renaissance art while the current postholder is on research leave.
The successful candidate will have a track record of teaching the subject. Alongside subject-specific seminars, the candidate will be asked to convene lecture modules and contribute to the departmental provision at undergraduate and postgraduate level. The work will include a weeklong fieldwork trip accompanying undergraduate students to Venice, a prestigious part of the taught programme.
The postholder will work in partnership with the world-renowned Sainsbury Centre for the Visual Arts (SCVA), the Sainsbury Research Unit (SRU), and the Sainsbury Institute for the Study of Japanese Arts and Culture (SISJAC).
This full-time post is available from 1 January 2020 for a fixed-term period of 12 months.
