Hi Jodie
We too have some very long and convoluted degree titles so we have always presented by level of award only in order from PhD to Cert HE, in alphabetical order within their particular discipline. Our scripts look like this:
FOR THE DEGREE OF DOCTOR OF PHILOSOPHY
Computational Finance
Computer Science
Computing and Electronic Systems
Electronic Systems Engineering
Intelligent Games and Game Intelligence
FOR THE DEGREE OF MASTER OF SCIENCE (BY DISSERTATION)
Computer Science
Only the part in capitals is read out, and only for the first student in that level of award. The disciplines are kept in to avoid a huge list of names (and also to make referring back easier.) The full title is printed in the Graduation Programme. We also read out academic prizes achieved during all stages of an award.
Happy to send you an example of one of our scripts if that would be of any use.

Subject: Degree titles at graduation
Good Afternoon All
We are currently reviewing how we present degree titles at graduation, we have a number of very long degree titles which can be confusing when read out at the ceremonies and I was wondering how other institutions manage this.
Do you read out the whole title (for example Master of Science in Psychological Therapies Practice for Children, Young People and Families)!!!
or just the award and the discipline?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all in advance
Jodie
