Carmarthenshire’s Archive Service is on the cusp of transformation. The Council, with the support of Welsh Government, have invested £2.6m in a brand new facility at Carmarthen library where a state of the art research and information hub awaits the return of the archive collection. The archive and library are co-located and the emphasis is on the radical transformation of Carmarthenshire Archive Service to a valued public service with diverse audiences, engendered through extensive collaboration and delivering imaginative services to our community.
The successful applicant will be an innovative, dynamic individual who will lead the strategic development of the service, managing and transforming the service to deliver excellence in customer experience, explode access to the collections across various media and develop audiences and enhanced participation. This change manager will be a highly skilled and qualified archive professional who will steer the service through accreditation and beyond.
