The role
The School of Mathematics and Statistics at the Open University is seeking a Research Fellow to join our Statistics Group.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in theoretical or applied statistics (or near completion) and a recent record of successful publication in high quality journals.
It will be desirable to have worked in one of the following areas where the Statistics Group has current expertise: Bayesian, multivariate, biomedical and computational statistics, though candidates in other areas of statistics will be considered.
The post holder will be expected to plan, direct and undertake research and make submissions to quality journals. You will also contribute and present your findings at conferences and seminars. The successful candidate will also interact with members of the Statistics Group to develop joint research projects and to seek opportunities for funding of further research projects.
