Hello,
I have been pursuing a project using FSL's TBSS pipeline. I am trying to correlate the FAs of 64 subjects with continuous outcome scores adjusted for age and sex covariates. However, I have been uncertain about how to set up the matrices and contrasts for the randomise step after obtaining the FA skeleton using a 0.15 threshold.
Currently, I have the matrix set up with three columns of outcome, age, and sex in that order. The contrast is simply:
1 0 0
0 1 0
0 0 1
My randomise step looks like this (using cognitive outcomes for example):
randomise -i all_FA_skeletonised -o col -m mean_FA_skeleton_mask -d cognMatrixO.mat -t cognMatrixO.con -n 500 --T2 -V
The randomise step outputs the corrected p-value area maps, but there are three of them. The files are called:
col_tfce_corrp_tstat1.nii.gz
col_tfce_corrp_tstat2.nii.gz
col_tfce_corrp_tstat3.nii.gz
Unfortunately, I don't know which file represents the correct correlation or if I even set up my matrix and contrast correctly. Is this method correctly correlating FA with outcome adjusted for age and sex, or is it just ignoring the covariates? If they are being ignored, how would I go about creating a functioning matrix and contrast?
Thank you for assistance.
Sincerely,
Milan Parikh
