I'm setting up a new CentOS 7 virtual machine for MRI processing and seemingly installed FSL 6.0.1 successfully, but have run into a repeatable out of memory error when trying to apply an affine transform to a 4D fMRI data set using flirt with -applyxfm and -init options as I've done countless times before on other systems. I should have plenty of memory at 23.4 GiB internal & 11.8 GiB swap for the 237 MB file I am working with. I noted that the FSL system requirements state that swap space should at least equal RAM, but curiously I can run flirt from an older FSL 5.0.3 installation on the same machine without error, so I don't suspect that is my problem. Also, while both the FSL 6.0.1 and 5.0.3 versions of flirt report to be version 6.0, the former takes up 25 MB of disk space and the older one only 2.4 MB, so clearly they are different. Has anyone else encountered similar memory problems and found the cause or a workaround?
Thanks,
Spero
