You will join the CHICAS research group in Lancaster University’s Medical School, to work with
Prof Peter Diggle and colleagues on the development and application of spatial and spatio-temporal
statistical methods for global public health applications. The role will involve frequent travel
both within the UK and internationally to attend scientific and policy meetings, discuss the
statistical needs of individual collaborative projects and present research results.
This fixed-term post is available from 1 October 2019 to 28 February 2021, with the possibility of
a later start by agreement, and possible extension subject to continued funding.
CHICAS conducts research in biostatistics, statistical genetics, epidemiology and health informatics.
The group currently includes 10 academic staff, 6 post-doctoral research associates and 17 PhD students.
