Dear all,
if you consider digital heritage being more then digital representations
of analogue artefacts, learning tools and open metadata, you might like
the idea of inscribing the Demoscene in the UNESCO list of Intangible
Cultural Heritage of Humanity, which we just have announced:
http://demoscene-the-art-of-coding.net
press release:
https://efgamp.eu/wp-content/uploads/2019/05/2019-05-20-EFGAMP_Press-Release_Demoscene_UNESCO_Art_of_Coding.pdf
Since it is the first time, that the UNESCO list will be challenged with
a born-digital culture, the idea behind the 'Art of Coding' initiative
is not only to give the Demoscene as one of the oldest and most
sustainable cultural practices in the digital realm more earned
visibility, but to push the discourse of the nature, impact and
consequences of the digital cultural change to the next level as well.
If you like the idea help spreading the word and feel free to approach
me with comments and questions,
Andreas
