Please see below for information about a study day being run by Prof Andrew Shennan and his team on setting up a specialist preterm service - and apologies that this may be of little interest to colleagues outside the UK, as the study day is being held in London.
In light of the new NHS Commissioning Guidelines, preterm birth services will need to be incorporated into all clinical trusts. We are running a course on how to set up a preterm surveillance clinic which will encompass practicalities including screening women for risk factors and risk stratification, ultrasound and biomarker surveillance, therapeutic and preventative treatments, financial implications and the potential to incorporate research into a clinical service. This is due to take place on Friday 10th May.
