The University of Stirling, which hosted this year's annual MeCCSA conference, would like to invite postgraduate students and early career researchers to send academic and creative practice contributions on the theme of DISRUPTION.
We invite expansive contributions from within the Arts and Humanities and in collaboration across disciplines. We welcome papers on, but not limited to, the following topics:
* Climate change
* Revolution
* Political corruption
* Brexit
* Democratic rights
* Rise of the anti-expert
* Rise of self-publishing
* Diversity in publishing
* Data deluge
* Digital technology and storytelling
* Misinformation
* News by algorithm
* Innovation in journalism
* Impact of technology on language
* Language evolution and adaptation
* Cognitive functions and language
* Technology and the creative process
* Humanity and technology
Papers should last no more than 20 minutes and will be followed by discussion. Proposals from Undergraduate (final year), Masters, and PhD students are welcome. We also encourage creative practice contributions.
