Hi and apologies for cross posting

We're delighted to announce that booking is now open for:

Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Queer and Intersex Health: A Yorkshire Medical Sociology Group Workshop

28 June 2019 (1.00-6.00pm) University of Huddersfield, UK

About the Event
Interest in lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender health issues has increased in recent years, given the legislative underpinnings for LGBT equalities in the UK. However, many challenges remain to ensuring equal access to healthcare for this diverse range of people at a national level and internationally. The increased prominence of a wider range of identities, such as non-binary and pansexual, raises interesting questions for the sociology of health. Intersex people, whose issues are different to those of LGBT people, face major barriers to health-related human rights, which require attention.

Who should attend?
The meeting is open to postgraduate students, academics, researchers, members of the LGBT and I communities, activists, and practitioners working in the field.

Registration
In order to cover our costs and to help with future meetings the following charges will apply:
BSA members: £15
Non-BSA members: £20
Concessionary: £10
Non-BSA member students: £10

Venue Information
The event will take place in the Oastler Building, Level 7 Room 31-C, University of Huddersfield

Please book through this link on the BSA website;
