The Department of Psychology and the Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience at the University of Salzburg seek to fill the position of tenured full professor in Cognitive Psychology beginning in October 2019.
The professorship should represent the area of cognitive psychology in both research and teaching. The research profile is in the field of cognitive sciences. We welcome applicants from all areas of cognitive psychology; research related to cognitive development is welcomed. An experimental psychological and/or neurocognitive approach should be used.
The Centre for Cognitive Neuroscience (CCNS) provides a network linking the research of the University of Salzburg with that of the Christian-Doppler Hospital Salzburg.
The CCNS offers an interesting research environment and the following facilities are available exclusively for research purposes: fMRI, MEG, high-density EEG, neurostimulation methods, eye-tracking facilities and an infant and child development laboratory (ccns.sbg.ac.at). We are looking for applicants who will enhance the Centre and methodological expertise is desirable.
