MAIN OBJECTIVE: The primary role will be the provision of maps and plans for the firm. You will also be responsible for certain administrative tasks. There will be a requirement to visit sites to assist gathering survey information, photographic evidence and referencing data. On occasions it will be necessary to work within tight project deadlines.
MAIN TASKS:
• Producing digital maps and plans using in-house GIS, mapping and CAD programmes
• Site visits to assist with measured surveys and referencing data
• Produce web mapping applications
• Use scripting and model builder to automate repetitive tasks
• Liaising with clients
• Ordering digital mapping data
• Ensuring the drawing register and relevant records are kept up to date
• Aiding with marketing the department
• Production of presentation material for the firm
• Any other duties that may be required from time to time
PERSON SPECIFICATION
Qualifications:
• Minimum GCSE English, Maths grade C or above or equivalent
• GIS/CAD related qualification
• Valid UK driving licence
Experience:
• GIS experience, ESRI ArcGIS 10x & ArcGIS Pro
• Web GIS in ArcGIS Online/ Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Server
• CAD experience desirable
• Competent in the use of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
