Dear geologists,
Does anyone have experience with the Buehler PetroThin thin section machine? I know it’s made for cutting rock thin sections, but is it equally good for cutting/grinding loose grains (e.g., zircon, apatite, etc.) mounted with epoxy resins on glass slides? Or anyone has a good suggestion for an alternative model for my purpose? I know Struers Accutom series does a good job, but they seem to not have models working under the North American 110 voltage. Am I wrong?
